Ok, Idaho dog owners. Keep your dogs leashed and watched or your dog might get tagged with graffitti. An officer investigating the case of an owner who says his dog was spray painted with the words "Go Home" says that a dog that's not leashed or watched is technically public property so whoever spray painted the dog was actually tagging public property with graffitti. The case was dropped because the owner was dolt for allowing his dog to wander freely anyway.

A small mouse in China who should have been dinner by every means appears to be the luckiest mouse on the planet. It's got protection and is really in the meow... literally. It was adopted by a cat who just had a litter of kittens. The owners of the store where the odd family lives even tried to toss the mouse out of the store only to see the mamma cat run out to retrieve her adoptee.

Well, well, well! After a couple uneventful animal weeks, we're back to weird animals stories from Germany which begs me to ask again what the hell is it that causes so many strange animal stories to emerge from Germany? This time we get to hear about a hard rockin' dog. A hard rockin' head banging dog that wants to par-tay all night long with the volume turned up to 11 when his master's away because even if you're a dog, any music that's worth playing is worth playing LOUD.

Coast Guard Called in to Rescue Bird... and man in a Tree

Bird and a man in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N... ok, well that's not quite the way this story goes. A man in Porter, TX ended up 75 feet up a tree to save his pet Cocatoo, Geronimo, after he had gotten out of his cage and flew out the door. The tale goes kinda like Humpty Dumpty, except nobody ends up busted up into a thousand pieces. First they called in the fire department whose ladder was too short. Then they called in the fire department's helicoper, which didn't have a long enough rope. Finally they called in the Coast Guard to do a tree rescue similar to those rooftop rescues that we saw in New Orleans, but when the Coast Guard officer got a hold of the two stranded "persons" in the tree, the scared Cocatoo, Geronimo, tried to protect his owner and bit the officer.

Kinda funny that a bird named Geronimo has problems flying downward ain't it?

Finally! A weird animal story that has nothing to do with Germany! A coyote wandered into Downtown Chicago and strolled right in through the open door of a Quizno's sandwich shop and tried to jump the counter, but was not successful so it hopped into the refrigerated drink display and was there for almost an hour until animal control showed up to take him to a new home. While he was there, crowds of people came by to take his picture and check out the scene. Quizno workers tried to offer a Prime Rib sub to him, but that idea got nixed by animal control.
